Julia Ekström was born in Lund, Sweden in 1984 and is currently living in Copenhagen.
She started at Fatamorgana the school of photography in Denmark and studied there in 2004.
In 2005 she started at the Royal Academy of fine Arts in Copenhagen.
here she Studied at the graphic department with Thomas Locher as her professor, and now later on,
on the Media Department with Ann Lislegaard as her professor.
Utilizing photography, film, video, audio, writing and drawing, she works questioning what
the role memory plays in the preception of reality.
